AAET President Datuk Ir. Hong Lee Pee (2010-2016) inaugurated the Distingushed Lecture Program by a brief introduction on AAET
Starting from the John Nash’s 12 page Nobel Wining Paper on ‘Non Cooperative game’, Mr Goh demonstrated the challenges facing our intellectual world which is getting over partitioned, resulting in respecting the trees and forgetting the forest. Goh hopes to trigger some rethinking about ‘Theory of Everything’.
Nash paper demonstrates how East and West ended up developing two intellectual basis which were equally right but not fully right. By using elementary TOPOS, Goh tried to make this visible to the audience, thus explaining the phenomena of rising East, and why their Economic basis and social values are different from the West. Goh also connected Nash’s paper with TOPOS, in order to show that there can be various ‘instances’ of the same forest, leading the audience into the world of Ludwig Von Mises, the founder of Austrian school of economics and the Misesians.
Goh: everyone can choose to be himself and become economically successful
Goh explained to the young audience that everyone can choose to be himself and become economically successful, not necessary having to keep playing the ‘tiring’ n person games. In this way, he also demonstrated that other than ‘man made’ rules, ‘governance’ and ‘management’ can depend on ‘natural laws’, leading to self management, which is more sustainable and profitable for not only economy, but science and mathematics.
